They are familiar with all aspects of the trade, including the tools, materials, procedures, environmental conditions on the job site and the regulations and standards of the various authorities having jurisdiction. A skilled drywall finisher is organized and capable of working independently. Safety training is stressed and taught in all aspects of the drywall finishing trade. Glazing
Glaziers cut, install, and remove glass. They measure and install metal frames and enclosures for glass panels, cut, fabricate, and install all types of glass and plastic products, and are responsible for the removal of old and broken glass and reinstalling of various types of glass panes. Glaziers are also trained to weather-proof panes and joint sealants, read and interpret blueprints, install display cases, showers, skylights, and storefronts, and load and unload glass by hand or with cranes. For more information, visit our program page.
Multicraft Decorating
Multi-Craft Decorators combine the knowledge of painting, wall covering, and drywall finishing. They have duties of all three trades, including preparing surfaces for the finishes to be applied like painters, measure surfaces and cut covering appropriately to fit the measurements like wallcoverers, and finish gypsum wallboard surfaces like drywall finishers.
